The village stands on the river Stour, adjacent to the Ashford and Ramsgate railway, 2 miles N E of Grove-Ferry r. station, and 8 W S W of Margate; and has a post-office under Margate, and a fair on 14 Oct. The ville comprises 653 acres, and is a member of the Cinque Port liberty of Sandwich. Real property, £1, 787. Pop., 169. Houses, 40.
