NIGER (The), a rivulet of the N of Norfolk. It rises near Baconsthorpe; makes a circuit of about 5 miles North-westward and south-westward to the neighbourhood of Edgefield; and runs thence about 7 miles north-north-westward to the sea, in the vicinity of Cley.
