Descriptive gazetteer entries

In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Anstruther Easter like this:

Anstruther Easter, parl. and royal burgh and par., Fife -- par. and royal burgh, 25 ac., pop. 1248; parl. burgh, pop. 1349; the burgh is one of the St Andrews Burghs, which return 1 member to Parliament.

This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Anstruther Easter by doing a full-text search here.
