TWINEHAM, a parish in Cuckfield district, Sussex; 4¼ miles W by N of Burgess-Hill r. station, and 4½ SW of Cuckfield. It has a post-office under Cuckfield. Acres, 1,908. Real property, £2,569. Pop., 339. Houses, 65. The manor, with Hickstead Place, belongs to J. Wood, Esq. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester. Value, £400.* Patron, SirGoring, Bart. The church is a brick edifice of the 16th century.
