Gogar, ancient par. (now chiefly in Corstorphine par.) and hamlet with ry. sta. (1 mile SE. of hamlet), in co. and 5½ miles W. of Edinburgh; in vicinity of hamlet are the seats of Gogar House, Gogar Burn House, Gogar Mount, and Gogar Park; in vicinity of sta. is the seat of Gogar Bank.
