In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Dunipace like this:
Dunipace, town and par., E. Stirlingshire -- par., 5586 ac., pop. 1874; town (which forms part of the police burgh of Denny and Dunipace), pop. 1257. See DENNY. About 2 miles SE. of town are the Hills of Dunipace and Dunipace House.
