A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Yarlside like this:
YARLSIDE, a township, with Rampside village and three hamlets, in Dalton-in-Furness parish, Lancashire; on the coast, opposite Walney island, 4¾ miles S by E of Dalton. Real property, £9,871; of which £2,000 are in mines.
This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Yarlside by doing a full-text search here.
