In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Quoich like this:

Quoich, Loch (5½ miles by f mile), on border of Kilmonivaig and Kilmalie pars., Inverness-shire; receives the Quoich (which flows 8 miles SE. through Glen Quoich), and gives out the Garry.
