Pop., 535. Houses, 114. Goring House is the seat of D. Lyon, Esq. Castle-Goring was long the residence of the Shelleys, from whom sprang the poet Shelley; and passed to Sir G. B. Pechell, Bart. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester. Value, £146. Patron, D. Lyon, Esq. The church was rebuilt in 1839, at a cost of £6, 900. There is a national school.
