Dalry, Dalrigh, or Dalree, a place in the W of Killin parish, W Perthshire, near Strathfillan Free church, and 1½ mile SE of Tyndrum station. It was the scene in 1306 of a sharp skirmish between Robert Bruce and Macdougal of Lorn, when the famous Brooch of Lorn, graphically described in Scott's -Lord of the Isles, and said to be still in possession of the Macdougals of Dunolly, was torn from Bruce.
