Drimnin, an estate, with a mansion, in Morvern parish, Argyllshire, on the Sound of Mull, opposite Tobermory, 12½ miles NW of Morvern hamlet. Its owner, Joseph Clement Gordon, Esq. (b. 1838; suc. 1845), holds 7422 acres in the shire, valued at £853 per annum. St Columba's Roman Catholic church here, with 80 sittings, was built in 1833 by the late Sir Charles Gordon of Drimnin; and, overlooking the Sound, occupies the site of an old castle, of no great importance, which was demolished to give place to the church.
