Geil or Glengavel Water, a rivulet in Avondale parish, Lanarkshire, rising close to the Ayrshire border, and running 5 miles north-north-westward, till it falls into the Avon at a point 5¾ miles SW of Strathaven.—Ord. Sur., sh. 23, 1865.
