Glengavel Water, a stream in the SW of Avondale parish, Lanarkshire, running 5 miles north-north-westward among wild uplands, till it falls into the river Avon at a point 5 ½ miles SW of Strathaven.—Ord. Sur., sh. 23, 1865.
