Riccarton, a station in Castleton parish, S Roxburghshire, on the Waverley route (1862) of the North British railway, at the junction of the Border Counties line towards Hexham and Newcastle, 62¾ miles WNW of Newcastle, 32½ NNE of Carlisle, and 13 S by E of Hawick, under which it has a post and telegraph office.Ord. Sur., sh. 17, 1864.
