Mobberley, par. and vil. with ry. sta., Cheshire, 2¾ miles NE. of Knutsford and 4¼ miles S. of Altrincham, 5206 ac., pop. 1462; P.O., T.O.; Mobberley Old Hall and Mobberley New Hall are seats; the former occupies the site of a priory founded here in 1206 by the Mobberleys.
