Carberry Hill, Inveresk par., Edinburghshire, 2¾ miles SE. of Musselburgh, alt. 500 ft.; here, on ground held by the English at Pinkie, and now called Queen Mary's Mount, Queen Mary surrendered to the confederate lords, June 15, 1567. On W. slope of the hill is Carberry Tower (1579), seat of Lord Elphinstone.
