Fyne, Loch, sea-loch, Argyllshire; is 40½ miles long, and has a breadth varying from 5 miles at Ardlamont Point to 1 mile at Strachur and 1½ mile at Inveraray Ferry; is noted for the quality and quantity of its herrings. Fyne, River, flows 6½ miles SW. through Glen Fyne to head of Loch Fyne near Cairndow.
