Letterkenny, town with ry. sta., Conwal par., mid. co. Donegal, on river Swilly, 16 miles SW. of Londonderry, 395 ac., pop. 2188; P.O., T.O., 3 Banks. Market-day, Friday. Letterkenny has good flax and provision markets. Vessels, not exceeding 300 tons, can reach Port Ballyraine, 1 mile below the town.
