Sheringham (or Sherringham), par., Norfolk, on the coast, 2356 ac., pop. 1159; contains Lower Sherringham, vil., 4 miles NW. of Cromer; P.O.; and Upper Sherringham, vil., 1½ mile SW of Lower Sherringham and 5 miles W. of Cromer; P.O. Lower Sherringham has a small harbour, and carries on considerable fisheries.
