Banbridge, market town, Seapatrick par., W. co. Down, on river Bann, 25 miles SW. of Belfast and 87 miles N. of Dublin by rail -- township, 769 ac., pop. 5609; 3 Banks, 1 newspaper. Market-day, Monday. It has numerous linen factories and bleach works, and has a good flax and grain market.
