Ravenspur, former seaport, East-Riding Yorkshire, at the mouth of the Humber, near Spurn Head; was also called Ravenspurn, Ravenser, and Ravensrode; returned a member to the Parliaments of Edward I.; suffered much injury from the sea in 1346, and again in 1357; was the landing-place of Henry IV. in 1399 and of Edward IV. in 1471, and was soon afterwards entirely swept away by the sea.
