NINE-MILE-HOUSE, a village, in the parish of GRANGEMOCKLER, barony of SLIEVARDAGH, county of TIPPERARY, and province of MUNSTER, 5 miles (S.) from Callan, on the mail road from Dublin, by Clonmel, to Cork: the population is returned with the parish. This small village is situated within half a mile of the confines of the county of Kilkenny, and in the immediate vicinity of the mountain of Slieve-na-man, which rises on the south of it.
