Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for TOUGHCLUGGIN

TOUGHCLUGGIN, a parish, in the barony of COONAGH, county of LIMERICK, and province of MUNSTER, on the confines of the county of Tipperary, 5 ¼ miles (N. W.) from Tipperary; containing 217 inhabitants. It is a vicarage, in the diocese of Emly, forming part of the union of Cullen; the rectory is impro-priate in W. Wilson, Esq. The tithes amount to £80, payable in moieties to the impropriator and the vicar.
