LODDON (THE), a river of Hants and Berks. It rises near Old Basingstoke, in Hants; runs north-north-eastward, past Stratfieldsaye, to an entrance into Berks 1 mile W of Riseley; and goes north-north-eastward, across Berks, to the Thames at Wargrave.
