Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Black Loch

Black Loch, a lake in Mearns parish, Renfrewshire, 3¾ miles S W of Newton-Mearns village. It lies at the E foot of Nethercairn Hill, 871 feet high; measures about ½ mile in length and ¼ in width; and contains excellent trout.
