BLOORE-WITH-TYRLEY and HALES, a township in Drayton-Tyrley parish, Stafford; near the Birmingham and Liverpool Junction canal, 3 miles E of MarketDrayton. Pop. in 1841, 561. Houses, 103. An action was fought on Bloore Heath, in 1459, between the Lancastrians and the Yorkists; and is commemorated on the spot by a cross.
