The village stands 6 miles N by W of Elmswell r. station, and 9 NE of Bury-St. Edmunds; and has a post-office under Bury-St. Edmunds, and a fair on Whit-Monday. The parish is twofold,-S.-All Saints and S.-St. John, and comprises 3,254 acres. Real property, £6,151. Pop., 1,045. Houses, 224. The property is subdivided.
