Hornet hamlet is in the parish; and anumber of houses were built, prior to 1861, on ground purchased by a Freehold Land Society. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Chichester. Value, £234. Patrons, the Dean and Chapter of Chichester. The church has been lately enlarged and restored.
