The property belongs to the Marquis of Winchester. Quarley hill commands a very extensive and charming view; and is crowned with an irregular, four-ditched, ancient camp, measuring 210, 240, and 290 paces along three sides. There are also tumuli and other antiquities. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Winchester. Value, £289.* Patron, St. Katharine's Hospital, London. The church is not good. There is an endowed school with £15 a year.
