The district includes also the sub-district of Sprowston, containing the parishes of Sprowston, Hainford, Frettenham, Horstead-with-Stanninghall, Wroxham, Salhouse, Rackheath, Crostwick, Spixworth, Beeston-St. Andrew, Catton, Drayton, St. Mary-in-the-Marsh, and part of Hellesdon. The workhouse is in Horsham-St. Faiths.
