A vision of Britain from 1801 to now.
Including maps, statistical trends and historical descriptions.
In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Dumbuck like this:
Dumbuck, vil., W. Kilpatrick par., in co. and 1½ mile SE. of Dumbarton, near the Clyde; in vicinity are Dumbuck House, seat, and Dumbuck Hill, with magnificent prospect, alt. 547 ft.
This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Dumbuck by doing a full-text search here.
