LEIGHTON, a township in Neston parish, Cheshire; on the estuary of the Dee, 1½ mile N by E of Great Neston. Acres, 1,605; of which 995 are water. Real property, £1,600. Pop., 363. Houses, 64. Ashfield Hall here is the seat of R. A. Macfie, Esq. The township commands fine views across the Dee, into Wales.
