In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Nantfyllon like this:
NANTFYLLON, a township in Llanrhaiadr-yn-Mochnant parish, Montgomery; 3¼ miles N of Llan-fyllin. Real property, £584. Pop., 168.
