In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Prysg like this:

PRISK and KILLEY, a parcel in Llangattock parish, Brecon; on the river Usk, and near the Brecon canal, in the neighbourhood of Crickhowell. Real property, £11,015; of which £2, 780 are in iron-works, and £400 in quarries. Pop. in 1851, 4, 768; in 1861, 5,027. Houses, 1, 120.
