BARNEY, a parish in Walsingham district, Norfolk; 5 miles ENE of Fakenham r. station. It has a post office under Thetford. Acres, 1,389. Real property £2,105. Pop., 283. Houses, 73. The property is divided among a few. The living is a vicarage in the diocese of Norwich. Valve, £129.* Patron, Lord Hastings. The church is an old building, with a tower. There are chapels for Baptists and Wesleyans.
