LLANSAINTFFRAID-GLYN-DYFRDWY, a parish, with a village, in Corwen district, Merioneth; on the river Dee, 2 miles E of Corwen r. station. It has a postoffice under Corwen. Acres, 693. Real property, £667. Pop. in 1851,137; in 1861,161. Houses, 33. The increase of pop. arose from the extension of slate-quarrying. The property is divided among four. Rhagalt is the seat of E. Lloyd, Esq. The parish is hilly, and has fine views. The living is a rectory in the diocese of St. Asaph. Value, £98.* Patron, the Bishop of St. Asaph. The church is good.
