SOUTHEASE, a parish in Lewes district, Sussex; on the river Ouse, adjacent to the Newhaven railway, 3¾ miles S by E of Lewes. Post town, Lewes. Acres, 900. Real property, £1,088. Pop., 84. Houses, 19. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Chichester. Value, £240.* Patron, the Rev. S. W. Thomas. The church is ancient.
