This industrial classification was used in the Industry Reports of both the 1931 Census of England and Wales and the 1931 Census of Scotland, and it is always broken down by gender. o it." (p. i). Some Orders were broken down into Sub-Orders, and all were then divided into "Groups", but the latter were listed only for counties and large towns.
